Community Housing Impact & Preservation (CHIP) Program
The Lucas County CHIP program provides no-cost home repairs or rehabilitation for income-eligible homeowners who reside in Lucas County. Repairs may include plumbing, electrical, roof, furnace, ADA modifications, water heater, insulation, and other needs.
CDBG Allocation Program
Lucas County CDBG Allocation program funds projects that benefit low or moderate-income people or help improve communities experiencing slum and blight. Below are examples of activities that qualify.
- Support for seniors, such as providing meals through the Area Office on Aging.
- Improvements for low-income neighborhoods, such as improving community centers, sidewalks, or street lighting.
- ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) improvements, such as installing ADA doors in municipal buildings.
